Arthroscopic Menisectomy Rehab Protocol

Phase 1 (0-2 weeks)

  • Weight Bearing
    • as tolerated
  • Brace
    • none
  • Range of Motion
    • as tolerated
  • Exercises
    • heel slide
    • hamstring/quad sets
    • SLR
    • step up and bicycle as swelling and motion allows

Phase 2 (2-4 weeks)

  • Exercises
    • progress from phase 1
    • cycling, elliptical, running as tolerated 

Phase 3 (4-12 weeks)

  • Exercises
    • may start sport specific exercises
    • core, hip and balance program
